Perspective

Building as a guiding principle

Across people, systems, community, and craft, I rely on four building principles that guide how I live and work. I aim to build in ways that strengthen others, create structures that support their growth, and bring people together.

Pillar One
Build people
Teams grow when the people within them feel supported, developed, and trusted. My work begins with strengthening the individuals I work alongside.
Pillar Two
Build systems
Strong systems create clarity and reduce friction. I focus on structures that help people do their best work.
Pillar Three
Build community
Meaningful work emerges when people feel connected and valued. I aim to create environments where shared purpose can take shape.
Pillar Four
Build things
Progress becomes real when ideas turn into tangible output. I believe in producing work that moves projects forward and strengthens the places people call home.

What I’m building right now

Each project reflects the work I am committed to at this stage of my life, including building a business, advancing circular economic principles, and anchoring my efforts in Upstate New York.

MBA/MPA
Graduate study
I am proud to be joining the MBA/MPA program at Syracuse University to build the skills needed to empower individuals and organizations in the Finger Lakes and Central New York regions. This work supports my long‑term goal of increasing per‑capita income for regional workers and helping local entrepreneurs build businesses grounded in the same philosophy of economic strength and shared prosperity.
Stage: Starting 2026
Red‑Tailed Workshop
Woodworking
Since 2020 I have been hand‑crafting custom woodworking pieces, ranging from small cutting boards to full bedroom‑to‑study conversions with built‑in cabinetry. I am committed to pursuing excellence in the craft and to engineering a process and workflow that support consistent, high‑quality work from concept to installation.
Stage: Operating
Alma Appliance
Consumer education blog
The Alma Appliance Blog is a growing collection of writings focused on helping consumers understand the appliance buying and ownership experience. It reflects my interest in clear, practical information and in building a resource that supports households as they make informed decisions about major home appliances.
Stage: Operating
CORS
Circular Operational Recovery Systems
CORS is an early‑stage concept focused on recovering usable components from damaged or unsellable appliances and returning that value to regional service providers and retailers. I am developing the business model through the Couri Hatchery at Syracuse University, researching operational requirements, and evaluating demand for a dedicated circular operations partner in the Finger Lakes and Central New York regions.

Experience

Building in practice

As I have grown in my career, I have learned that people do their best work when they feel supported as individuals and understood as part of a larger whole. This belief has shaped how I lead and how I build. When a team feels grounded, respected, and equipped, the work becomes stronger and the environment becomes healthier.

My roles have been the places where I learned to put this into practice. At People Inc, supporting adults with developmental disabilities taught me the value of steady encouragement and dependable routines. At PICS Telecom and Orville’s, developing training materials and strengthening processes showed me how shared learning and clear structure can lift an entire team. Even in my workshop, building furniture has reinforced the importance of creating environments where people feel capable and at home.

These experiences continue to shape my commitment to empowering people, strengthening their work, and contributing to the environments they rely on.

Region

Building right here

Upstate New York is home, and that truth has shaped the direction of my work more than anything else. I grew up in the communities that define this region, and I believe deeply in the people who live here. This place has always had strength, talent, and character worth investing in.

With renewed attention on Syracuse, Rochester, and the broader Finger Lakes and Central New York region, I feel energized by the opportunity to contribute in more meaningful ways. I am committed to helping build durable, well‑paying work that strengthens families and communities. I have seen how empowering employment can change a person’s life, and I want to help create more of that here.

Whether through ventures that become strong employers, by supporting others who are building, or by influencing the systems that shape regional opportunity, my commitment remains the same. This is the place I call home, and I want my work to help it thrive.
